New Spacious Apartment Boasting a Fresh and Modern Interior in Bojnice, Slovakia

Fresh and modern, the interior of this apartment located in the historical city of Bojnice, Slovakia surprises you with both, its warmth and a clean design line. Designed by RULES Architekti and defined by comfort and spaciousness, the place is, in fact, the result of a merger between two smaller apartments. With a wide living room and a terrace overlooking the city, the apartment was designed to fit the tastes of the owner, who wanted a place that breathes, uncluttered and at the same time, with minimal requests for maintenance. The day-zone (comprising the living room, the dining area and the kitchen) is envisioned as one unitary space

Wood is quite present and it adds a sense of warmth. The living room area boasts two black fabric sofas adorned with white detailing. The coffee tables completing the décor contrast with the dark couches. This entire “section” is placed on a rectangular-shaped wooden surface. The interior simply opens to the outdoor environment through a wide terrace with a matching wooden “carpet”. Long dark curtains add a sense of privacy when needed. In terms of colours, black, white, silver and wood-like nuances are dominant. The strange mix of wood, lacquered surfaces and stainless steel confer to this place that modern feel. This is definitely one of the best interiors discovered so far in Slovakia

Modern Single Family House Conferring Tranquility in Slovenia by Multiplan Arhitekti

A modern single family house located in the middle of the wilderness is, sometimes, all we need to disconnect from a hectic (and toxic) lifestyle. No longer tightly connected to nature, the modern man is overwhelmed by the city’s pressure, exploring the fields of an unknown territory, that of stress and a life that does not allow him to live “properly”. House Katrina is only 20 minutes away from Ljubljana, Slovenia. Located in the heart of nature, in immediate vicinity of the city, the beautiful residence, boasting modern finishings and a stylish interior, is a response to the exhausting urban lifestyle. The project was designed by Multiplan Arhitekti, to meet the expectations of the clients, which no longer felt comfortable surrounded by noise and concrete and decided to move in a more peaceful (and healthy) environment
Undoubtably, the construction, located at almost 700 meters above sea level, is nothing but spectacular. Immersing subtly into nature, it offers superb panoramic views and it confers tranquility and comfort. The top floor accommodates the living room (equipped with a wide terrace), which offers unobstructed views of the surrounded site.  Bedrooms are located at the ground floor. Breezy and modern, House Katrina integrates natural wood finishings which convey a feeling of closeness to nature

House Redesigned to Integrate into the Surrounding Site in Silleda, Spain

The Spanish firm terceroderecha arquitectos redesigned the house of a family in Silleda, Spain and transformed it into a comfortable and balanced living environment. The client’s request was to integrate it seamlessly into the surrounding site and not simply rebuild it from scratch in a modern manner, but establishing a dialogue between the past and present. He wanted to keep the street’s charm intact. The team’s approach to this project implied “a free and unique interpretation of the present and the past, striking an imaginative balance between bygone days and modern times. The personality of the existing buildings is maintained, clearly distinguishing the old from the new by means of a markedly contemporary construction

One of the assets is definitely the courtyard, envisioned as the central element around which the house functions. Each room opens up to the outdoor space. A sufficient amount of light bathes the rooms. The windows, floor-to-ceiling panels of glass, connect the environments. The interior is dominated by the persistence of white: the walls are white, the furniture, the kitchen, the stairs, even the bedroom
