A Testing Ground for New Ideas: Bright and Spacious Loft in Vilnius, Lithuania

Vilnius is the city of many beautiful buildings, a beautiful spot, perched on the Baltic Sea. In this inspiring space of culture and colour we discovered this loft apartment designed by INBLUM. Bright and roomy, this living space located in a former radio technics factory is an excellent example of rehabilitation of an old structure. Envisioned as a testing ground for new ideas, the “factory loft” displays a neat interior, exposing the original preserved walls and integrating a hammock providing you the ultimate feeling of relaxation. “With minimal means and resources, a truly functional and innovative living space was created. The successful realization of the project has significantly promoted the idea of lofts as living and working spaces in Lithuania

A certain pleasant simplicity  dominates the interior: industrial style and minimalism go hand in hand providing a comfy and modern living environment. The small terrace “attached”  to the living room expands the entire unit, being the perfect spot to have breakfast or coffee during the hot summer mornings. Simple lights bulbs hang from the ceiling enhancing that factory industrial-like atmosphere. The loft features also a mezzanine level housing the bedroom. As a curiosity, the apartment ”took the 1st Prize at the Golden Palette, also receiving an award for the original furniture at the Interior of the Year ‘09
